Dr Allen’s Retirement
Dr Jonathan Andrew Allen has been a GP partner for 34 years at Old Forge Surgery
It is with very mixed feelings that we would like to announce that he will be retiring from his role as GP partner at the end of December 2022.
Dr Allen has been an integral member of our practice since his arrival in October 1988.
We will very much miss his caring nature, positive take on life, and dedication to the staff and patients. Dr Allen has been a committed and valued member of our healthcare team, with a reputation for going above and beyond in caring for his patients and workforce. He will be sadly missed by patients and colleagues alike.
We wish Dr Allen every happiness in his pending well-earned retirement, and best wishes to him and his family for the future.
Dr Keown will become the sole GP partner in Old Forge Surgery from January 2023. All patients that have Dr Allen as their registered GP will be switched to become patients of Dr Keown. The surgery will operate as usual with regular GP locums assisting Dr Keown and our Nurse Practitioner Paula McKibbin.
“Thanks very much for allowing me to be part of your lives. It has been a privilege, and I wish all our patients the very best for the future” – Dr Allen
